This  Tabriz rug  inspired by the design of a historic Persian postage stamp. The central figure is Reza Shah dressed in an elaborate blue military uniform with a feathered hat and ornate decorations. The background is a pale blue, while the border is a deep rust red adorned with cream and white geometric and floral motifs. Persian script and the words “POSTES PERSANES” are woven into the design, emphasizing its stamp motif. The craftsmanship is precise and refined, reflecting the high standards of Tabriz weaving, known for its intricate detail and clarity.
