Balouch carpets, or Baluchi carpets, are hand-woven carpets that have been traditionally made by the people Baluchistan — one of the tribes mainly found in the areas of Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. They are famous for their intricate designs, bright colors and exquisiteness of workmanship Often made from wool, Balouch rugs have been known for their vivid range of colors that are red and brown with blue, black geometric designs such as tribal elements or prayer rug patterns
Balouch rugs are small enough in size to be used as an area rug, wall hanging or even a prayer rug. The designs are unique to the Baluch tribes, their nomadic heritage and distinctly characteristically of each piece. By weaving it completely by hand, traditional technique handed down for generations
